Joseph Haydn wrote these three trios on his second visit to London in 1775 for a very nice widow lady (age 65) whom he told he would have married if not for already having a wife. They were written for two flutes and viola da gamba (bass violin).
The music I used was taken from a guitar transcription by Theodore Norman (G. Schirmer, Inc./New York). If you want to hear what the three guitar version sounds like, the cello voice should be transposed up an octave and the flute voices should be transposed down an octave. I prefer the original instruments choosen by Haydn.
The sequences are voiced for the Roland MT-32. Flute 1 is on the right, flute 2 is on the left and the cello is in the middle.
